Why should we hire you as our photographer?
Because I value my craft and I assure you that I will treat your memories with the utmost care. I will help you create a timeline of your moments that detail your day just how you want it. I will help ensure that your day is captured exactly as you would like and as beautiful as you deserve.
Do you also provide video services?
Currently at this time, I do not. I am strictly a photographer however, I do know several extraordinary cinematographers at all budget levels and would gladly assist in matching you to a company that specializes in videography.
Will I receive the raw, unedited files?
Raw files are not available for viewing or purchase. You will be provided with edited images only. Each image is carefully handled and will be a representation of my work. Be sure to take a look at my portfolio to ensure that my work and style are a good match for you.
How many images will I receive?
The number of photos received depends on the package selected. The photos will be selected by the photographer. Full gallery can be purchased at an additional cost. The cost will depend on the number of images taken and will only be received once payment is received and images are edited.
How do I reserve you for a photo session?
As soon as a date and time has been agreed upon for your session/event, a deposit will be required. Once a deposit is made, you will be officially booked and your slot is secured.
Why must I sign a photography contract?
Model release contracts are to protect the photographer as well as the client and are required prior to all sessions.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due no less than 48 hours preceding the scheduled session.
If we need to cancel our booking, can the deposit be returned or transferred to a later date?
All deposits are non-refundable and normally non-transferrable. This covers any loss in the form of lost bookings and eventual cost already arisen before the actual session. However, I do understand unforeseen events can happen and in the case of an untimely death of an immediate family member, or hospitalization of a person included in the scheduled session, I will work to accommodate an alternate session to be transferred within 90 days of the originally scheduled date.
Is there a charge for travel?
In most instances, there is no charge for travel. There will however be a travel fee if the location exceeds 40 miles (one way). I will ensure that in the case where a travel fee is required, it will be pointed out prior to booking so that this can be considered in your budgeting.
Are there additional costs that may be incurred?
Most packages come with the option to receive a selected number of digital files, so in this instance there is no additional cost after the payment of the package. If you desire print packages or would like the complete digital gallery to be delivered, the final cost will depend on your selection.
Is your media preference film or digital?
All photos are taken and processed digitally.
Will I own the rights of the digital prints?
If your selected package includes digital files, you will receive reproduction rights to all of your images. This gives you the right to reproduce for personal use only. You will be able to use them for print, sharing on social media, making canvases, etc. Commercial use is prohibited if not separately agreed upon at an additional cost. The copyright of all images are retained by the photographer.
What happens if we are running late for the scheduled session?
It is my practice to arrive early for sessions. If for some unforeseen reason I am late, I will extend the time to accommodate the time missed, or if that is not an option due to time constraints, and a substantial amount of time is missed to make the shoot unsuccessful, I will issue a refund for a portion or all of the money paid. If the client is late, I will do my best in the time that is remaining to get everything we need, but the time of the session will not be extended. I ask that clients arrive 10-15 minutes early in order to properly prepare for the session and make any necessary changes to wardrobe and in an effort to ensure that client is relaxed and happy for the session.
